Kratom Tea in Nassau — We Call It K-Tea

Green Vein and White Vein kratom leaf, brewed in-house in measured batches and poured to order by trained kavatenders — at Elizabeth on Bay Plaza, Downtown Nassau.

    Brewed Fresh, Poured to Order

Measured house batches brewed in-house — no scooping powder, no guesswork, no cleanup. Just a proper cup, ready when you sit down.

    Green Vein & White Vein

Green is the balanced everyday pour. White is the brighter, more uplifting side of the leaf. Your kavatender helps you pick.

Served by People Who Know It

Our kavatenders are trained on servings, pacing, and pairings — and we serve responsibly, starting first-timers small.

What K-Tea is, and how we serve it

K-Tea is our house name for kratom leaf tea. Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is a leaf from the coffee family, traditionally brewed as a tea across Southeast Asia. At Rootz we treat it like any other fine botanical on the menu: brewed in-house, in measured batches, and served in a proper glass — hot or over ice, plain or built into a flavoured drink.

We pour two vein types. Green Vein is our balanced everyday cup — even and easy-going, and the one we hand most first-timers. White Vein is the brighter, more uplifting side of the leaf, better suited to a daytime pour when you want something with a little more lift. Both can be flavoured with Monin syrups or built into one of our house drinks.

Why have it here rather than anywhere else? Because a good cup of kratom tea comes down to preparation — the right leaf, the right ratio, the right brew, strained properly and served fresh. That's a fussy thing to get right on your own, and an easy thing for us: we batch it daily, we measure every pour, and our kavatenders know how to build it so it actually tastes good. You sit down, tell us what kind of afternoon you're having, and it arrives made right.

And it's the room as much as the cup. Rootz is a fully nonalcoholic lounge in Downtown Nassau — low light, good music, board games, hookah on the terrace, and people who'll talk you through the menu. K-Tea is at its best fresh from the batch, in a comfortable chair, with no rush.

Served responsibly. We serve adults only, we start newcomers on Green Vein, and we never serve botanicals alongside alcohol — there isn't any on our menu. K-Tea isn't a medicine and we make no health claims about it; for anything health related, including medications, pregnancy, or existing conditions, please speak with your physician before drinking kratom.

    Kratom & K-Tea FAQ

Is kratom legal in the Bahamas?+

Yes. Kratom is legal to buy, sell, and consume in The Bahamas — it is not scheduled under the Dangerous Drugs Act. At Rootz in Downtown Nassau we serve it fresh-brewed on premises as K-Tea, prepared to order by trained kavatenders.

Where can I get kratom tea in Nassau?+

Rootz Kava & Tea House at Elizabeth on Bay Plaza, Bay Street, Downtown Nassau. We brew K-Tea to order seven days a week — walk in, no reservations needed, or order delivery through Bahama Eats.

    What is K-Tea?+

K-Tea is our house name for kratom leaf tea. We brew the leaf in-house in measured batches and serve it over ice or hot, plain or built into a flavoured drink. It is a botanical tea — nonalcoholic, like everything on our menu.

What is the difference between Green Vein and White Vein K-Tea?+

Green Vein is our balanced everyday pour — even and easy-going, the one most guests start with. White Vein is the brighter, more uplifting side of the leaf, better suited to a daytime pick-me-up. Your kavatender will walk you through both and start you at a sensible serving.

How should I order K-Tea on my first visit?+

Start small and go slow. Tell your kavatender it is your first time and they will pour a smaller Green Vein serving, explain what to expect, and let you settle in before you decide on more. We serve responsibly and we would rather you enjoy the visit than overdo it.

Do you serve alcohol alongside K-Tea?+

No — Rootz is fully nonalcoholic. K-Tea should never be combined with alcohol, and our menu makes that easy. Please do not mix botanicals with alcohol or other substances.

    Who should not drink K-Tea?+

K-Tea is served to adults only, and we do not serve anyone who is pregnant, nursing, or driving after a larger serving. We are a lounge, not a clinic — for anything health related, including medications and existing conditions, please speak with your physician before drinking kratom.

Can I get K-Tea to go in Nassau?+

Yes, K-Tea is available to-go for quick-serve pickup and through Bahama Eats delivery in Nassau — though it is at its best fresh from the batch, in the lounge.
